Late in the transfer window, a move for James Igbekeme from Wisła Kraków to Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza appeared probable. Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza had been near to signing the Nigerian earlier in the window. Igbekeme stated that a certain situation had occurred, explaining that for two years he has been attempting to obtain a Spanish passport. Because of this, he had to go to Nigeria to handle some paperwork. Igbekeme said he informed the sports director of Bruk-Bet that he had a scheduled meeting and needed to go to Nigeria for two or three days, but the director replied that it was not possible.

Slask Wroclaw sought to strengthen its midfield during the summer. At one point, it appeared that Nigerian midfielder James Igbekeme, who had recently left Wisla Krakow, would join WKS.
