Rodríguez is a 34-year-old Colombian attacking midfielder who is currently a free agent. Char recounted that a year ago he travelled to Medellín to formalize a significant offer for the player. Upon arrival, he was informed by a new representative for Rodríguez that the deal could not proceed. The shareholder described the episode as something to be forgotten, and this incident is the reason the reigning league champion has decided not to pursue the player again. The Colombian international has 122 caps and 31 goals for his country. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €2.00m.
