James Abankwah Transfer from Udinese to Watford
James Abankwah will remain at Watford for the next season as Udinese has officially announced the extension of the defender's loan to the English club until June 30, 2026. The Irish defender, born in 2004, started last season with Udinese, playing six matches at the beginning of the Serie A season before moving to Watford in January. In the Championship, he quickly secured a regular starting position, making 19 appearances.
James Abankwah has been excluded from the Udinese squad in recent outings as the club intends to loan him out for the second part of the season. Udinese is close to finalizing a loan deal with Watford, where he could find more playing time. This loan move is being arranged alongside a contract renewal that previously tied him to Udinese until 2026.
