The contract of 34-year-old Polish goalkeeper Jakub Szumski with Sakaryaspor was terminated by mutual agreement after the club lost its mathematical chances of staying in the Turkish second division. The contract had been valid until June 30, 2027. In a post on Instagram, Szumski expressed disappointment about the situation, stating that he had hoped to stay at Sakaryaspor until the end of his career. Having joined the club in July 2024, Szumski made 35 appearances in the 1.Lig this season. He has 12 caps for the Poland U21 national team.
