Jakub Adkonis, a junior Polish national team player, is set to leave Legia Warszawa as a free agent, as his expiring contract will not be renewed. There is concrete interest for him to remain in the Ekstraklasa. Piotr Kamieniecki of TVP Sport had previously reported that Lechia Gdańsk and some undisclosed clubs from Silesia were interested in the midfielder. Subsequently, Łukasz Olkowicz from 'Przegląd Sportowy Onet' revealed that Piast Gliwice is one of the Silesian clubs targeting Adkonis. Due to Lechia's relegation, Piast is considered to have a more compelling case and may persuade Adkonis with the prospect of top-flight football.
