Cosenza Calcio announced that it has acquired the sporting rights for the 30-year-old Uruguayan winger Jaime Báez, who is returning to the club. He previously played for the team for two and a half years in Serie B from 2018 until January 2021. Báez has experience in Italy with several clubs including Fiorentina, Cremonese, and Frosinone, and played for Penarol in Uruguay until December 31. He has signed a contract with Cosenza until June 30, 2026, which includes an option to renew, and will be immediately available to coach Buscè. The winger has 21 caps and 2 goals for the Uruguay U20 national team. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €600k.
