Real Oviedo has announced the signing of Jacobo González, an event reported on by Mundo Deportivo. González is a 29-year-old Spanish winger who can also play as an attacking midfielder. He arrives in Oviedo from Córdoba, which he joined in July 2024. While at Córdoba, he played forty league matches, scoring nine goals and providing one assist. The transfer is the third of the summer for Real Oviedo, following the arrivals of Pablo Sáenz and Youness Lachhab, as the club returns to Segunda División. The team had been working to finalize these signings for months. Real Oviedo had previously been close to signing Jacobo González during the last winter transfer window, but Córdoba rejected their attempts at that time.
