Manchester United felt the 20-year-old midfielder's development would be better supported by returning to Carrington to play for the under-21s, who are managed by Adam Lawrence. While at Orient, Moorhouse made 20 appearances in England's third tier, playing the full 90 minutes twice. He also provided one assist in the league, along with a goal and an assist in the EFL Trophy.
