Wydad Casablanca recruited Issoufou Dayo during the final hours of the summer transfer window. The 35-year-old central defender signed a one-season contract with the Casablanca club, which includes an option for renewal.

Issoufou Dayo will not be joining Moghreb de Tétouan. An official from the club confirmed to Africafoot that after a one-season contract agreement had been reached, the Burkina Faso international increased his salary demands. Six days prior, Africafoot had reported, based on information from the same official, that Dayo had committed to joining the club. The official suggested that Dayo might have received a more lucrative offer from another club in the Botola. Moghreb de Tétouan decided not to meet the new demands, maintaining its financial limits, and will not continue discussions unless there is a late change during the summer transfer window.

Renaissance Sportive de Berkane, which is experiencing defensive difficulties since the departure of its former captain, is observing the situation and is considering the return of the Burkinabe defender if his contract with Umm Salal is terminated.

According to exclusive information from Africafoot, the management of the Qatari club Umm Salal has decided to allow the departure of the Burkinabe international defender Issoufou Dayo, less than three months after his arrival as a free agent during the last summer transfer window.
