Feyenoord did not sign transfer target Issa Soumaré, as the 25-year-old Senegalese and Mauritanian winger joined Stade Rennes. Soumaré, who was a free agent after his time at Le Havre AC, will stay in Ligue 1 with his new club. Rennes signed the player, with Bundesliga-promoted team Schalke 04 also competing for the signing.
