Portuguesa has announced that they have loaned their 25-year-old Brazilian forward, Igor Torres, to Caxias-RS until the end of the year. Torres, who is contracted with Portuguesa until December 2027, will return to the club following the loan period, as there is no purchase option included in the agreement. This loan occurs as part of a squad overhaul at Portuguesa, which currently does not have an official schedule until 2026. Igor Torres, who became part of Portuguesa in February 2025 and has since played 18 matches in the Campeonato Paulista, Copa do Brasil, and Série D, scoring one goal, is set to reunite with his former teammate Tauã at Caxias. Both players are anticipated to enhance Caxias' performance in the second phase of the Série C of the Brazilian Championship.
