Bayern Munich have added Brentford's 24-year-old Brazilian striker Igor Thiago to their list as they consider potential long-term successors for Harry Kane. Sources have told TEAMtalk that Bayern are among several elite clubs, including Manchester City and Chelsea, who have been impressed by the Brazilian's development and are monitoring his progress. This interest comes despite Thiago having recently signed a new long-term contract with Brentford, which runs until the summer of 2031 and includes an option for a further year. A well-placed source also informed TEAMtalk that the player is aware of the attention but is not currently seeking a transfer and is happy at his club. In the current 2025/2026 Premier League season, Thiago has scored 17 goals and provided 1 assist in 26 appearances. His current Transfermarkt market value is €35.00m. According to reports in early 2026, Brentford's asking price was at least €80 million. The club paid €33 million to sign him from Club Brugge in July 2024.
