Igor Diveev Transfer from CSKA Moskva to Zenit

Andrey Arshavin has commented on a possible exchange involving CSKA defender Igor Diveev and forward Luciano Gondou, which would include an additional payment from the St. Petersburg team. It was previously reported that Zenit and CSKA had agreed on the deal. The transfer now depends on the final decision of the army team, who are also working on other candidates.

Football expert Aleksandr Bubnov commented on a possible exchange involving CSKA's 26-year-old Russian defender Igor Diveev and Zenit forward Luciano Gondou. This followed earlier reports which stated that the parties had already agreed on the deal's details. Speaking on the 'Коммент.Шоу' YouTube channel, Bubnov described the rumoured swap as illogical. He stated that while Diveev would be a loss for CSKA, the defender would not be an upgrade for Zenit because the club already has a strong central defensive pairing in Eraković and Drkušić. Bubnov also believed that acquiring Gondou would be a positive development for CSKA, as they currently lack forwards. Diveev's contract with CSKA is valid until June 2029. The defender has 19 caps and one goal for Russia. In the Premier Liga this season, he has made 16 appearances and scored two goals. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €9.00m. Diveev has also been linked with Manchester United and Spartak Moscow.
