He stated that while Diveev would be a loss for CSKA, the defender would not be an upgrade for Zenit because the club already has a strong central defensive pairing in Eraković and Drkušić. Bubnov also believed that acquiring Gondou would be a positive development for CSKA, as they currently lack forwards. Diveev's contract with CSKA is valid until June 2029. The defender has 19 caps and one goal for Russia. In the Premier Liga this season, he has made 16 appearances and scored two goals. Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €9.00m.
