Al Ahly SC has completed the permanent transfer of Angolan forward Ieltsin Camões from Norwegian club Tromsø IL after the initial terms of the deal were revised. Initially, the clubs had agreed on a loan deal until the end of the season that included a purchase option of $1.1 million, for a total cost of approximately $500,000. This arrangement was not convincing to the technical staff of the Cairo club. According to sources, Al Ahly's coach insisted on a definitive transfer, considering that Camões' profile met the team's immediate needs. This led the management to reopen discussions with Tromsø. A final agreement was reached for the permanent transfer of Ieltsin Camões for a total amount of $1.6 million, payable in three installments. The player had received a concrete offer from Emirati club Al Sharjah but chose Al Ahly's sporting project, attracted by the prospect of competing for major titles and participating in the next Club World Cup.
