Marítimo was one of several clubs interested in signing defender Idris Mohamed, a Comoros international, from Le Puy. Other interested parties included Italian sides Monza and Frosinone, as well as other teams in France and abroad. The 22-year-old is expected to join FC Metz. The French club and Le Puy reached an agreement for a transfer fee of around €300,000 plus bonuses, and Mohamed is expected to sign a four-year contract. Mohamed has four caps for Comoros. He joined Le Puy in July 2025 and made 30 appearances in Ligue 3 in the 2025/2026 season. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €350k.
