Ibrahima Mbaye, who once had a short tenure with CFR Cluj in Romania, is nearing an agreement to sign a one-year contract with Team Altamura in Serie C, Italy. His agent, Beppe Accardi, has confirmed the development, noting that it is the right environment for Mbaye to rejuvenate his career. The Senegalese defender, who did not make any appearances for CFR Cluj, is about to embark on his first experience in Serie C. Mbaye has previously competed in Italy's top leagues, recording 142 appearances in Serie A with Inter, Livorno, and Bologna, and 11 appearances in Serie B with Bologna, where he played from the 2014/15 season until the 2021/22 season. Accardi highlighted that joining Team Altamura might be an important chance for Mbaye to regain his form.
