Ibrahima Konaté Transfer from Liverpool to Al Hilal
90min provides an update on the contract situation surrounding Ibrahima Konaté. Ibrahima Konaté has rejected Liverpool’s opening offer of a new contract. Al Hilal is one of the clubs keen on him.
Al-Hilal is linked with Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate as they seek to reinforce their defensive lines. Liverpool is concerned about potentially losing Konate due to stalled contract negotiations. Konate is demanding a weekly salary of around £200,000, which Liverpool is reluctant to meet. If a new deal is not agreed by the end of the summer, Liverpool is prepared to offload Konate for a fee in the region of €50–60 million, to avoid losing him for free when his contract expires in 2026.
Saudi side Al Hilal are interested in signing Ibrahima Konate. Liverpool are desperate to agree new terms with him as they fear losing him on a free transfer, similar to Trent Alexander-Arnold's departure. If a new deal is not agreed, Liverpool would consider a sale.
Al Hilal from the Saudi Pro League has joined the pursuit of Ibrahima Konate, alongside Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. His current contract with Liverpool runs until 2026, and while Liverpool is in contract extension talks, they may consider offers if a new deal is not reached. The interest from Al Hilal was reported by BBC journalist Sam Mokbel. Transfermarkt currently estimates his market worth at 60 million euros.
