Sestao has confirmed the signing of Iago Herrerín, a former Athletic goalkeeper. At 36 years old, he has played 119 official matches for Athletic between 2013 and 2021. During that period, he also played half a season on loan at Leganés in 2016-2017 and, after leaving Lezama, he spent the last three seasons at Al-Raed in Saudi Arabia, Valencia CF, and AEK Larnaca in Cyprus.
