Corinthians rejected a €10 million offer, equivalent to about R$ 61.6 million, from Turkish club Beşiktaş for the 27-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper Hugo Souza. The player's agency, OTB Sports, confirmed in an official note that it received the proposal and presented it to the club on February 4. According to the player's representatives, this was the second offer from a European club to be refused by the Corinthians board in recent weeks, following a rejected bid from Milan of Italy in the previous December. The agents also stated that Hugo Souza does not intend to leave the club at this moment and that any transfer possibility will only be discussed after the World Cup. Souza, who has one cap for Brazil, joined Corinthians in January 2025 and has a contract until the end of 2028. His current Transfermarkt market value is €10.00m.
