Hugo Félix Transfer from Benfica U21 to Tondela
A Bola reports on Hugo Félix's recent transfer to Tondela. Hugo Félix has signed a contract with Tondela until June 2029. The transfer was completed after Hugo Félix terminated his contract with Benfica before the transfer window closed, making him a free agent. Although he was close to moving to Elche in Spain, he was ultimately convinced by Tondela's project. The transfer was officially announced after the registration of his contract by Tondela.
Hugo Félix is set to continue his football career in Portugal with Tondela, having signed a four-year contract with the club. Tondela, who had been monitoring his progress for an extended period, successfully secured the player's signature at the last moment. Benfica has retained 50 percent of Félix's economic rights. The 21-year-old Portuguese midfielder, who is the younger brother of João Félix, was initially on the verge of joining Spanish club Elche. However, a last-minute change of plans resulted in him remaining in Portugal. Hugo Félix departs from Benfica after spending a decade with the club, having joined their youth ranks from Casa do Benfica de Viseu and making his first-team debut last season. The terms of his transfer to Tondela are identical to those previously agreed upon with Elche, allowing Benfica to maintain half of his economic rights. Transfermarkt currently assesses his market value at €2.50 million.
