Portuguese midfielder Hugo Félix, 21, had practically everything in place to move to the Spanish club Elche, but his future will now remain in Portugal with Tondela. Despite being close to joining Elche, Tondela made a last-minute move to secure the young midfielder, who has signed a four-year contract with the club. The terms of the agreement mirror those previously established with Elche, with Benfica retaining 50 percent of the player's economic rights. According to Transfermarkt, Félix has a current market value of €2.50m.
