SV Darmstadt 98 has exercised the purchase option agreed in the loan contract and signed defensive midfielder Hiroki Akiyama on a long-term basis. Hiroki Akiyama joined from Japanese first division club Albirex Niigata in the summer. The duration of Akiyama's contract from the summer onwards is not disclosed.
