The 32-year-old Dutch goalkeeper is a free agent after leaving FC Groningen this summer, where he spent the past three seasons primarily as a backup to Etienne Vaessen and is now seeking more playing time. To maintain his fitness, Jurjus has been training with NEC. At Volendam, he is being considered as the successor to Kayne van Oevelen, who is reportedly close to transferring to Ipswich Town, a club that was promoted to the Premier League.
