Harrison Jones has joined Peterborough United on a permanent deal, ending his time of over 15 years with Sunderland. The 21-year-old English midfielder, who came up through the academy to captain the Under-21 side, made seven senior appearances for the club. In the 2025/2026 Premier League 2 season, Jones recorded 5 goals and 3 assists in 9 appearances. The move to Peterborough is intended to provide Jones with the regular senior football needed for his development. Upon his departure, Jones received praise from club captain Luke O'Nien, who reportedly described Jones as an incredibly consistent trainer and expressed pride in his maturation as both a person and a footballer.
