Hamzat Ojediran, who was not in coach Pierre Sage's plans, has left RC Lens. The midfielder has joined the American club Colorado Rapids, based in Denver. Hamzat Ojediran played 17 times in a season and a half for RC Lens.
According to Foot Mercato, Lens and Colorado Rapids have reached an agreement for Hamzat Ojediran. The transfer fee is slightly less than 3 million euros, and the transfer should allow Lens to recover more than double their original investment.
Nigerian midfielder Hamzat Ojediran, 22, who has not played any minutes for Lens this season under Pierre Sage, is set to join Colorado Rapids. After the club had sought his departure for several months, Lens has reached an agreement with the MLS franchise. The transfer is pending the completion of administrative formalities and a medical examination. Ojediran's contract with the French club runs until 2028, and his current market value is €1.00m, according to Transfermarkt.
