Gytis Paulauskas leaving Zemplín Michalovce?

Gytis Paulauskas is leaving MFK Zemplín Michalovce and transferring to South Korean club Jeju SK. Ivan Gondor, general manager of Michalovce, confirmed for TV Východ that the Centre-Forward's last appearance for the team was against Podbrezová. Gondor stated that the decision did not come from the club. He also stated that Gytis and his agent used a buyout clause in his contract to facilitate the move to Jeju SK. Michalovce wanted to keep the 26-year-old Lithuanian international, who had a contract until summer 2028, but Jeju SK paid the value of the buyout clause in his contract. Paulauskas has 29 caps and 2 goals for Lithuania. He joined Michalovce in July 2025 and has scored 6 goals with 3 assists in 15 Niké Liga appearances this season. His current market value is €400k, according to Transfermarkt.
