Portuguese attacking midfielder Gustavo Sá joined Olympiacos on loan from Nottingham Forest after his departure from Famalicão. On a Liga Portugal podcast, Sá revealed that he had rejected a significant offer before this move. Famalicão had an agreement with Al Ittihad for his sale, which included a three-year contract for Sá with total earnings of €17.5 million. The 21-year-old rejected the proposal, explaining that the move was not in line with his career plans and that the large amount of money was insufficient for him to consider it, which led to his decision to join Olympiacos. Sá has been capped 15 times for Portugal's U21 team, scoring two goals. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated to be €25.00m.
