According to Globo.com, Gustavo Busatto has transferred to Cuiabá. Busatto, aged 35, holds both Brazilian and Italian nationality. He left Caxias, a club from Rio Grande do Sul, by mutual agreement following a 2-0 defeat to Santa Cruz in Série C. He was signed to reinforce the Série B squad because a new goalkeeper was needed after Marcelo Carné sustained a long-term injury. This season, Busatto has played in 30 matches: six for CSKA Sofia in the Bulgarian League and the remainder for Caxias in Série C and the Copa Sul-Sudeste. Cuiabá finalized his registration before a punishment was to take effect, which makes him eligible to play in the ongoing competition.
