According to Marca, Getafe has decided to loan Gorka Rivera to Unionistas de Salamanca. Rivera is a 22-year-old from Getafe's academy and is considered one of their most promising Spanish prospects. Getafe's president, Ángel Torres, reportedly sees significant future potential in the player and does not want to part with him permanently. The left-back, who can also operate as a central defender, had his development halted by a serious injury two seasons ago before signing a four-year contract. He was expected to become a full member of the first team this season, having made his debut against Girona in the 23/24 season and also played against Sevilla in the 24/25 campaign. Instead, he will join the 1ª RFEF club, where Getafe's aim is for him to gain experience and minutes in a demanding category to assess his future first-team potential. Rivera joined Getafe in July 2021 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €100k.
