Gleofilo Vlijter Transfer from OFK Beograd to Újpest
Újpest announced on their official website that they have signed Surinamese national team striker Gleofilo Vlijter from OFK Beograd. The 25-year-old left-footed forward played a significant role in the Serbian top division team last season, scoring 11 goals and providing 6 assists in 35 matches. Vlijter, an experienced international player, is the top scorer for the Suriname national team with 15 goals in 31 matches. He will join the Újpest squad for their training camp in Slovenia.
According to Serbian reports, OFK Beograd and Újpest have already agreed on the transfer of Gleofilo Vlijter, and he will be announced soon by Újpest. Andrej Mrkela, the sports director of OFK Beograd, previously hinted that Vlijter would leave the team. The Surinamese footballer has reportedly already signed his contract with Újpest and will be announced upon his return from vacation. OFK Beograd will receive more than one million euros for the player, and they will also receive additional money in case of a future resale.
Újpest is looking to strengthen their team with the Surinamese striker Gleofilo Vlijter from OFK Beograd, as reported by the Lila Sector Facebook page.
