According to Tuttomercato, the transfer of Giuseppe Carriero to AC Perugia Calcio is confirmed. AC Perugia Calcio has communicated that it has permanently acquired the rights to the player from Unione Sportiva Salernitana 1919. Giuseppe Carriero has signed a contract with Perugia until June 2028. U.S. Salernitana 1919 also communicated that it reached an agreement with AC Perugia Calcio for the permanent transfer of the midfielder, who was born in 1997. The club thanked Carriero for his contribution and wished him the best for the future.

Giuseppe Carriero is set to join Perugia from Salernitana as part of a double arrival from the club that also includes Ettore Quirini. The transfer is expected to use the same formula as Quirini's. According to information gathered by TuttoMercatoWeb.com regarding the parallel deal, that formula is a loan with an option to buy that becomes an obligation if certain conditions are met. Only a final step is required to complete the transfer, which is expected to happen.
