Gilberto Mora Transfer from Tijuana to Inter Miami

According to SPORT, Inter Miami is seriously working to recruit Gilberto Mora, and the presence of Leo Messi could be a factor in a potential move. The player's agent, Rafaela Pimienta, is receiving inquiries, but no formal offer has yet been made to Tijuana. The Mexican club expects a departure as early as next year.

Inter Miami have reportedly joined the pursuit of 16-year-old Mexican wonderkid Gilberto Mora, whose profile has risen following his performances at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup. The Tijuana midfielder has also been linked with major European clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Manchester City. According to Sport, Miami's interest is part of a new transfer strategy to become a destination for top young talent, pivoting from acquiring veteran stars after the retirements of Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. Any deal will not be cheap, as reports suggest Tijuana has already rejected low-value offers from Europe. Mora's agent, Rafaela Pimenta, remarked to TUDN that €15 million ($17.4 million) would not even be enough to purchase one of the player's legs. Reports also indicate Tijuana will not sell for less than that amount and expects the final fee to be nearly double. Due to FIFA regulations, Mora cannot leave Liga MX until he is 18, but a deal can be arranged with his club beforehand. Miami faces a challenge due to the player's rising value and his preference for a move to European soccer. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €4.50m.
