Trabzonspor is again interested in Ghislain Konan as part of its search for a foreign left-back. The club is looking to strengthen this position after not signing Sidny Cabral, who joined Benfica. The club has contacted the 30-year-old Ivorian player, whom they had targeted in two prior transfer windows. Konan plays for Gil Vicente in Portugal and is currently with the Ivory Coast national team for the Africa Cup of Nations. His contract with the Portuguese club expires at the end of the season, which might permit his departure for a reasonable fee. It has been learned that Trabzonspor is also considering two other younger left-backs in addition to Konan. The defender has 48 caps for his country. He joined Gil Vicente in July 2025 and has made 14 appearances in Liga Portugal in the current season. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €3.00m.
