Ghayas Zahid, 31, has rejected an offer from Cypriot club Anorthosis. A new club is being sought to take over the Norwegian midfielder's contract from Partizan after he played very little last autumn, despite having recovered from a serious knee injury in August. His availability also follows statements he made claiming that the coaches at Partizan did not control team selection. Zahid is familiar with football in Cyprus, having previously won two league titles with APOEL. His contract with the Serbian club is set to expire in June 2026. The midfielder, who has been capped twice by Norway, has a current market value of €900k according to Transfermarkt.
