Georgiy Dzhikiya Transfer from Antalyaspor to Akhmat Grozny
Akhmat head coach Stanislav Cherchesov has responded to rumours about a possible transfer for former Spartak defender Georgi Dzhikiya. Speaking to Championship correspondent Oleg Lysenko, Cherchesov stated that he had read he was allegedly insisting on inviting Dzhikiya to Akhmat. He described Georgi as a good guy and a magnificent footballer who was in his team, but said the player now feels great in Turkey and there had been no conversation on this topic. The coach stated that they did not have such plans. Cherchesov mentioned that Georgi visited them in Belek where they talked, but added that he talks to many people and not everyone joins the team.

Ahmed Aydamirov, the vice president and general director of Akhmat, has stated that the club is not currently negotiating the acquisition of 32-year-old Russian centre-back Georgiy Dzhikiya from Antalyaspor. Aydamirov confirmed the absence of talks. This follows earlier press reports that Akhmat was showing interest in the former Moscow 'Spartak' and Russian national team player. His contract with his current club is set to run until the end of June 2027. Dzhikiya has 44 caps and 2 goals for Russia. He joined the Turkish club in July 2025 and has made 12 appearances and scored 2 goals in the Süper Lig this season. His current Transfermarkt market value is €1.80m. He has also been linked with a return to Spartak Moskva.
