Real Salt Lake is exploring a move for former Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, a 35-year-old Dutch international who is a free agent after leaving Al-Ettifaq. Although talks are ongoing, a formal offer has not yet been made to the player. It is understood that Wijnaldum has several other active options, and Olympiakos Piraeus has also recently been linked with the player. The midfielder has earned 96 caps for the Netherlands, scoring 28 goals, and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €2.20m.
