FC Barcelone has contacted the entourage of Georges Mikautadze, a 25-year-old Georgian international, to learn his position on a potential arrival. Mikautadze has approved this possibility. Negotiations have not yet begun between FC Barcelone and Villarreal, the club the centre-forward joined in September 2025. Villarreal is requesting between 60 and 65 million euros for Mikautadze, who is contracted until 2031. Last season, he scored 13 goals and provided 6 assists in 32 LaLiga games. Tottenham Hotspur has also been associated with the player. The current asking price is consistent with reports from March 2026 which indicated that Tottenham was prepared to offer an amount close to €60 million. This represents a significant increase from the €31-€36 million Villarreal paid to sign him.
