It is reported that Scottish Premiership side Hearts are among several clubs interested in signing Scottish left-back George Johnston, who is available on a free transfer. The 27-year-old was released by Bolton Wanderers, a club he joined in July 2021, after their promotion to the Championship. He made 43 appearances and scored one goal in League One during the 2025/2026 season. Plymouth Argyle, Bradford City, and Luton Town are also interested in signing the former Scotland U21 international, whose current market value is €800k according to Transfermarkt.
