In an official statement, Campobasso announced the acquisition of Gabriele Corbo, a 26-year-old Italian defender who signed a two-year contract with the rossoblù club. Corbo's career includes time in Serie A with Bologna, a period in Major League Soccer with CF Montréal, and experience in Spain; he most recently played for Pescara in Italy. Before the move was finalized, he visited the Axum Molinari Stadium with sporting director Giuseppe Figliomeni.
