CalcioMercato reports that Frosinone has had constant contact with Lazio regarding transfer discussions for striker Gabriele Artistico. The deal is currently being blocked by the new Lazio coach, Rino Gattuso, because he has been very impressed by the qualities of the striker during the first days of training camp.

Italian centre-forward Gabriele Artistico, 23, who is owned by Lazio, is close to transferring to Frosinone, according to Sport Mediaset. The player had been on loan at Spezia under an agreement that included an option to buy and a counter-option, but Spezia's relegation to Serie C disrupted their plans to purchase him. Frosinone was recently promoted to Serie A after finishing second in Serie B. During his loan period, Artistico scored 14 goals in 33 matches for Spezia. His contract with Lazio is valid until June 2028 and his current valuation on Transfermarkt is €2.00m. Earlier in 2026, his loan reportedly included a purchase option valued between €3 million and €3.5 million, while in June 2026, reports stated Lazio set an asking price of €4 million for a permanent transfer.
