Gabriel Veron leaving Porto?

ESPN reported that Porto has agreed to loan Gabriel Veron to CD Nacional. The forward will sign on a six-month loan with the new team.

Brazilian media have reported, and A BOLA has confirmed, that Gabriel Veron may continue in Portuguese football through a loan to a club in the Liga. Some initial inquiries have been made, and there is also interest from other regions, but no decision has been made yet.

Gabriel Veron has returned to FC Porto after his loan period at Juventude concluded. According to A BOLA, it is possible that Veron could be reintegrated into FC Porto's B team after the new year while he determines the next step for his career. Veron has a contract with FC Porto until June 30, 2027, and could be loaned out again or undergo a definitive transfer if all involved parties agree.

According to ESPN Brazil, the club from Caxias do Sul will not attempt to renew a forward's loan, which is valid until December 31. The forward will also not remain at Dragão. The most likely scenario is a new loan to another club.

Gabriel Verón, a 22-year-old Brazilian right winger, joins Santos FC on loan from Porto, with an option to purchase at the end of the contract in December this year. Verón is noted as the seventh reinforcement for Santos, alongside players like Neymar and others.

Gabriel Veron is preparing to undergo medical examinations as he returns to FC Porto following a loan period at Cruzeiro. FC Porto plans to sell his economic rights to recover the substantial investment made in 2022. His agent, Fábio Mello, is actively engaged in negotiating his transfer. Veron, whose contract extends until 2027, was acquired from Palmeiras in 2022 for €10.2 million plus an additional €2.2 million in charges. During his recent stint at Cruzeiro, he played 37 games, scoring six goals and providing two assists, which may draw interest from both European and Brazilian teams. The Brazilian transfer window remains open until February 28.

Gabriel Veron has been instructed to report to FC Porto in early January, although the club plans to sell his economic rights for the best possible value. FC Porto is aiming to recover the substantial investment they made in 2022, when they acquired Veron for €10.2 million, along with an additional €2.2 million in charges. Cruzeiro has decided not to renew Veron's loan, choosing instead to invest in other targets. Despite FC Porto indicating that there is a €10 million buyout clause, Cruzeiro found this to be prohibitive. Veron's agent is currently looking for other options for the player, but no specific clubs have been mentioned yet.

Gabriel Veron, loaned by Porto to Cruzeiro this year, will not stay at Cruzeiro for 2025. Although Cruzeiro had the option to purchase, the player's performance was not sufficient to retain him, as he scored six goals in 37 matches with two assists.

Gabriel Veron's agent, Fábio Mello, is actively seeking other club options for Veron as there is no agreement with Cruzeiro and FC Porto prefers a definitive sale.
