Tom Bogert reports that sources say San Diego FC has agreed to a deal to acquire midfielder Gabriel Pirani from D.C. United. Gabriel Pirani joined D.C. United in 2023 and has made 83 appearances. He will now move to San Diego.

Brazilian attacking midfielder Gabriel Pirani, 24, was left out of the D.C. United squad for tomorrow and head coach Rene Weiler publicly criticized him, stating that he is playing for himself instead of the team and that he cannot see the joy in his face. It is expected that Gabriel Pirani will leave this summer. The former Brazil U23 international joined D.C. United in January 2024 and his contract runs until the end of 2026. His current Transfermarkt market value is €2.00m.
