Gabriel Jesus Transfer from Arsenal to West Ham United

Arteta himself is ready to offload Jesus and get the Brazilian’s £265,000-a-week salary off Arsenal’s books, according to a report in the Spanish media.

Gabriel Jesus, the 28-year-old Brazilian striker, is contemplating a significant career decision with the 2026 World Cup in mind and is prepared to leave Arsenal. According to sources cited by FootballTransfers, he is "seriously considering" a move from North London amid interest from Premier League rivals and his home country. Both West Ham United and Everton have made initial enquiries with Arsenal, as the two clubs believe Jesus would provide Champions League quality and versatility to their attacks. Speculation about his future has intensified after he was left out of Arsenal's European squad, which is viewed as a change in the club's strategy, particularly as he was overlooked despite Kai Havertz also being sidelined. The summer arrival of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP has further complicated Jesus's position, with the Swede now considered the first-choice No.9. Consequently, Jesus is exploring a potential return to Brazil, where Flamengo are monitoring the situation, a move he believes would enhance his visibility for the national team coach. A January transfer is looking increasingly probable, and although his contract runs until 2027, Arsenal might be receptive to offers if the right bid is submitted. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €32 million.
