If the team wants to add a new striker, it will have to make changes to its squad by seeking the departure of some of its forwards. Uruguayan forward 'Toro' Fernández, 32, is indicated as the first one to leave; a year ago he was relegated to the Under-21 team. Although in the most recent tournaments he has regained prominence, his name still appears as one of the candidates to leave. Fernández joined CD Cruz Azul in January 2024, and his contract runs until the end of 2026. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.50m.
