IF Elfsborg is loaning 23-year-old Danish centre-forward Frederik Ihler to FC Volendam, which plays in the Dutch second division. The loan agreement includes an option for FC Volendam to make the transfer permanent. Ihler selected the move to Holland, and there was also interest in him from clubs in Poland and Denmark. He joined Elfsborg in July 2025 and has a contract that runs until the end of 2029. In the 2025/2026 Allsvenskan season, Ihler has made 14 appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist. According to Transfermarkt, the Denmark U19 international has a current market value of €1.20m.
