According to media reports, Legia Warszawa was interested in signing 33-year-old Slovakian goalkeeper František Plach from Piast Gliwice during the summer transfer window. Legia considered the goalkeeper as a potential replacement for Kacper Tobiasz, who had attracted interest from the Turkish club Samsunspor and was linked with a move abroad. Ultimately, Tobiasz's transfer did not happen. When asked about the situation in a conversation with the weekly magazine „Piłka Nożna”, Piast's coach, Max Mölder, neither confirmed nor denied the reports. He commented that it did not surprise him that other clubs were interested in the player he considered to be the best goalkeeper in the league. Plach's contract with Piast Gliwice is set to expire on June 30, 2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €300k.
