Independiente Santa Fe officially announced the arrival of Franco Fagúndez, a Uruguayan forward who joins from Santos Laguna on a one-year loan with an option to buy. Fagúndez was a specific request by Pablo Repetto.

Eduardo Méndez stated that an agreement was reached with Santos Laguna for Fagúndez 20 days ago, which facilitated the transfer. He said the player's arrival is confirmed and that he is expected to arrive on Monday in the evening.

Santa Fe is close to finalizing an agreement for Franco Fagúndez, a 25-year-old Uruguayan midfielder, to join the Bogota team on loan from Santos Laguna until December 2026. Fagúndez, who wears the number 10 for Santos Laguna of Mexico, is expected to be an attacking reinforcement following several departures from Santa Fe. He previously played for Nacional de Uruguay, where he won three titles under coach Pablo Repetto, who now manages Santa Fe.
