Francis Onyeka, an 18-year-old midfield talent from Bayer Leverkusen, is set to join VfL Bochum on a loan deal. The objective behind this move is to allow him to further develop in the second division, with the long-term goal of becoming a viable option for Bayer 04's main squad. Although SV Elversberg also showed interest, VfL Bochum successfully secured the loan agreement. Originally from Gummersbach, Onyeka was a standout performer for Bayer Leverkusen's U19 team last season, where he contributed nine goals and three assists in 27 matches across various competitions. Additionally, he gained valuable experience with brief stints for the senior team in both the DFB Pokal and the Champions League.
