Folarin Balogun, a 24-year-old United States international centre-forward, is reportedly seeking a return to English football. Aston Villa, Everton, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, and Sunderland are all interested in the player. Monaco's preference is to retain Balogun and the club will resist a transfer. His asking price is estimated to be around £43m. If Balogun is sold for that price, his former club Arsenal would receive approximately £7.5m because of a 17.5% sell-on clause. Arsenal does not have a buy-back option. According to one source, various clubs in Europe have been monitoring Balogun for some time and he is expected to move this summer. The source added that while sources at Monaco are suggesting a transfer is unlikely, the player desires a Premier League transfer and several clubs have been told he is available for a total transfer cost of approximately £43m. Balogun has 29 caps and 11 goals for his country. He joined Monaco from Arsenal in August 2023 for a €30 million fee, and his contract runs until June 2028. In the 2025/2026 Ligue 1 season, he made 30 appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing 5 assists.
