Filip Panák Transfer from Sparta Praha to Baník Ostrava
Deník.cz reported that 30-year-old Czech defender Filip Panák was a target for Baník Ostrava, and a potential move was discussed in the winter. The defender's contract is set to expire after the season. His agent, Václav Svěrkoš, stated on the 'Kontakt tam byl' podcast that Panák might not stay at Sparta. The agent explained this was due to the player's wish for more playing time and a worsened relationship with coach Brian Priske. Svěrkoš added that Panák also lost the captain's armband before the season began. Svěrkoš also mentioned interest from other clubs within the Czech Republic and that some Polish clubs are making inquiries. Panák joined AC Sparta Prague in February 2019. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.50m. He has not been capped by the Czech national team.
